What are usage rights?

What are usage rights? They are the licence terms a creator grants a brand for a piece of content: which channels it may appear on (organic posts, paid ads, or ads under the creator's name), for how long, in which countries and whether edits are allowed. Ownership is separate; a creator can retain it while licensing the content.

Why do usage rights matter for ads?

Paid placement, or an ad that runs under the creator's name, gives a brand more than a single organic post does, which is why creators tend to quote and agree each kind of use on its own. Platforms add limits too: TikTok states that video-level authorization is valid for 365 days. At Anglr, every ad stays the property of the creator who made it, brands receive full rights to run it, and the precise terms are set down in writing before anyone begins.
