What are the best UGC platforms for creators?

How should you rank UGC platforms for your situation?

Rank platforms by the rule that rules you out first: country, age, device and followers. Then rank what is left by pay model.

Your situation Start with Why
New, no followers, in the US Billo, trend.io, Trybe, SideShift, Influee Each says on its own page that followers or experience are not needed
New, in the UK or Europe Twirl, Influee, Billo (UK), JoinBrands (UK, Germany) Their stated country lists include these regions
You have an Instagram or TikTok audience Insense, Collabstr Insense asks for followers and views; Collabstr reviews profiles for quality
You want a fixed fee per video Billo, Twirl, JoinBrands Pay is set before you start
You want to set your own price Influee, Insense, Fiverr You publish or quote your rate
You want pay tied to results Trybe, Content Rewards, SideShift bonuses Commission, views or performance bonuses
You make AI ads that already perform Fiverr (AI UGC), Anglr Both address AI work directly

Unless a platform's terms say otherwise, you can apply to more than one. Joining two or three and keeping the ones that send you briefs means one quiet platform does not stop your work.

Which UGC platforms are best for beginners?

The best UGC platforms for beginners are the ones that say on their own pages that they accept creators with no followers or experience. Six do so in plain words, and a seventh states no follower rule.

  • Billo: "No professional experience or social media presence is required," and "No following required to start," according to its creator page. You must live in the US, Canada or UK and be 18 or over.
  • Twirl: its creator FAQ answers "I'm brand new to UGC, can I still apply?" with "Of course! We care about quality, not experience." Review can take from a few days to a few weeks.
  • trend.io: "You might not even have social media and that's totally fine," says its creator page. It is for US-based iPhone users.
  • Influee: its creator page says "From beginners to professionals" and answers "Do I need followers?" with "No".
  • Trybe (jointrybe.com): its creator FAQ says "followers don't matter on Trybe."
  • SideShift: its creator page says brands often want fresh niche accounts, so "anyone can succeed—even without a large personal following." It also offers a free UGC course that earns a verified badge.
  • JoinBrands: its creator page states no follower minimum, says a social account "is a plus", and asks that you can "produce high-quality videos."

Insense is not a beginner platform: its creator page asks for "a minimum of 1,000 followers on Instagram and at least 500 median views on TikTok."

Anglr is not one of the beginner platforms. It is for AI creators whose ads already perform, and every application is reviewed against the standards on the creators page. If you are starting out, follow how to become a UGC creator, make five or six spec videos, then apply to two or three of the platforms above.

Which UGC apps are best for beginners?

Most beginner-friendly UGC platforms run through a phone app, so check the app is available on your device before you build a profile. This table lists what each platform says about its app.

Platform App detail from its own pages Beginner signal
Billo Download the app, create a profile and upload a short intro video No experience required
trend.io iOS app, "iphone & us based users only" No followers needed
Trybe (jointrybe.com) Creator app "live on iOS, with Android coming soon" Followers don't matter
Influee Profile, samples and rates are set up in the app Beginners welcome
Insense Download the app and connect Instagram or TikTok Needs an audience
Collabstr Signup is finished in the mobile app; a credit card is required to verify identity Not stated

Collabstr's help center says the card is "not charged during signup or normal platform use" but "may be charged if you violate our policies." Read that before you enter card details.

Which UGC platforms work for AI creators?

Fiverr is the only marketplace in this list whose own pages say AI work is allowed and set rules for it. Most other UGC platforms do not state a rule on AI-made videos, and several are written for creators who appear on camera themselves.

What each platform says:

  • Fiverr: "Fiverr permits the use of AI across all service categories," says its AI guidelines. AI work must be "meaningfully refined and customized", and freelancers "must also honor a client's explicit request for non-AI work." Its UGC guidelines split the category into Human UGC and AI UGC and ask AI sellers to "confirm tool licenses, voice/avatar permissions, and any likeness approvals."
  • JoinBrands: lists "AI Creators" among its creator types on its creator page, with no published rules for AI content.
  • Insense: its creator terms allow changes "using solely AI-tools licensed by Insense", and AI versions made by a sponsor go to the creator for approval. Whether you can submit AI-made videos is not stated.
  • SideShift: its terms ban AI-generated avatars as your identity and say "The Creator must personally perform the accepted work."
  • Billo: its brand page says "Every creator is a human, not an AI avatar."
  • Trybe (jointrybe.com): its creator terms require content that "is original to Creator" and do not mention AI-made submissions.
  • Influee, trend.io, Twirl, Collabstr, Content Rewards: no AI rule for submissions on the pages checked.

If you make AI ads, take three steps before you submit on any marketplace. Read the AI section of the terms, say in your profile which parts are AI-made, and ask the brand in writing if the brief does not say. For platforms built for AI ad makers, the Trybe alternatives for AI creators page compares the options.

Anglr is built for AI creators. Anglr gives you winning scripts and angles for each brand, you make every format with your own AI tools, and every video goes through QC and compliance review before it goes live.

How do UGC platforms pay creators?

UGC platforms pay in one of four ways: a flat fee per video, a price you set, a share of results, or pay per view. The model matters more than the headline rate, because it decides when you are paid and what risk you carry.

Pay model Platforms When you are paid
Flat fee per order or project Billo, Twirl, JoinBrands After the brand approves the video
Your own price per campaign or package Insense, Influee, Collabstr, Fiverr After approval or order completion
Commission, retainer or mix set by the brand Trybe (jointrybe.com) Depends on the program: on acceptance for flat fees, when results occur for commission
Per 1,000 views, per post or retainer Content Rewards CPM clips pay 10 days after approval; per post pays after approval
Campaign pay plus view bonuses SideShift After each campaign, into a creator wallet
Performance pay for AI ads Anglr (this site) On each brand's payment terms, shown before you start

Payout methods differ too. Billo's creator terms say US, UK and Canada creators are paid through Stripe Connect, and Twirl's creator page says payment is released within 10 days of brand approval. trend.io pays to PayPal.

Do UGC platforms charge creators a fee?

Some do and some say they do not. These are the creator fees each platform states, checked on 12 Oct 2026.

Platform Creator fee, as stated
Trybe (jointrybe.com) "free for creators, forever" (jointrybe.com)
Twirl The advertised compensation "is 100% yours" (usetwirl.com)
trend.io "Trend is 100% free for creators" (trend.io)
SideShift "SideShift charges brands, not creators," with "really small fees on bank withdrawals" (sideshift.app)
Billo App is free; payment-processor charges are the creator's (Billo terms)
Collabstr "Collabstr charges a 15% commission on all order payouts" (Collabstr help)
Fiverr Freelancers "receive 80% of the client's cleared payment" after a 14-day clearing period (Fiverr help)
Content Rewards "You keep 90%," with no fee on per post and retainer campaigns of 5,000 dollars or more (contentrewards.com)
Insense, JoinBrands, Influee No creator fee published

Applying to Anglr is free.

What about Upwork and Fourthwall?

Upwork is a general freelance marketplace, and Fourthwall is not a UGC marketplace at all. Both appear in searches for UGC platforms, so it helps to know what they are.

On Upwork you send proposals to client job posts, and each proposal costs Connects, which its support page calls "the virtual tokens freelancers use on Upwork to submit proposals for jobs." Work is found through job posts and proposals rather than an in-app campaign feed.

Fourthwall is a platform for selling merch, memberships and digital products from your own shop. It does not broker brand deals or UGC jobs, so it is left out of the table.

How do you choose a UGC platform?

Choose by working through five checks in order, and drop any platform that fails one. Each check is answered on the platform's creator page, FAQ or terms.

  1. Eligibility: country, age, device (some are iPhone only) and follower rules.
  2. Content rules: whether the terms allow AI-made content, if you use it, and whether you must appear on camera.
  3. Pay model: flat fee, your own price, commission or views. Pick the one that matches how much risk you can carry.
  4. Fees and payout: the creator fee, the payout method and how many days after approval you are paid.
  5. Usage terms: who owns the video and how long the brand can run it as an ad. UGC usage rights compares the terms.

Before you apply anywhere, build a portfolio of finished videos. How to build a UGC portfolio covers what to include, and UGC creators explains the different kinds of UGC work. Once you are on a platform, brands looking for UGC creators covers how to find and pitch briefs.

Where does Anglr fit among UGC platforms?

Anglr is not a marketplace: there are no job posts to pitch on. Anglr provides winning scripts and angles for each brand, and approved AI creators, editors and agencies make every format of them: UGC, podcast, drama, animation and brand film.

Creators are paid on performance, with an optional smart retainer for hitting volume. Brand partners are confirmed before any brief goes out. You can keep working on other platforms at the same time.

If your AI ads already perform, apply on the creators page. If you want flat-fee gigs or beginner-friendly work, the platforms above fit better.

Who this is for

  • Independent AI creators and editors. You make the ads yourself. You know your work performs, so you'd rather be paid on what it does than on a flat fee.
  • AI agencies and studios. You run a team of editors. You write the brief, your team makes the versions, and you're paid on performance because you know your team's ads scale.

Not for you if

  • You only want a flat fee.
  • You're new to editing and not yet confident your ads will perform.
  • You want every shot spelled out for you.
  • You make one style and won't try others.

FAQ

What are good UGC platforms for beginners?

Billo, Twirl, trend.io, Influee, Trybe (jointrybe.com) and SideShift each say on their own pages that you do not need followers or experience to start. Check the country and device rules first: trend.io is for US-based iPhone users, for example.

Which UGC platforms allow AI-made content?

Fiverr states that it permits AI across all categories and has a separate AI UGC service type, with rules on quality and transparency. Insense allows AI changes only through its own licensed tools. Most other UGC platforms do not state a rule, so ask before you submit AI work.

Do I need followers to join a UGC platform?

Usually not. Insense is the exception in this list: its creator page asks for at least 1,000 Instagram followers and 500 median views on TikTok.

Which UGC platform pays the most?

No platform publishes figures that can be compared fairly across all creators. Compare the pay model (flat fee, your own price, commission or views), the fee each platform takes and how fast it pays out.

Is UGC a legit way to make money?

The platforms in this list pay creators through a set process after the brand approves the content, to a bank, PayPal or an in-app wallet. What you earn depends on how many videos you get approved and the pay model.

Is Anglr a UGC platform for beginners?

No. Anglr is for AI creators, editors and agencies whose ads already perform. If you are starting out, use one of the platforms that say they accept new creators and build a portfolio first.
