Trybe alternatives for AI creators: a Trybe for AI ads

By James Tumbucon
Updated · 9 min read

The best alternative to Trybe (jointrybe.com) for an AI creator depends on how you want to be paid and whether the platform states a rule on AI-made ads. Trybe pays on ad performance but states no AI rule. Fiverr has an AI UGC category. Anglr (this site) works as a Trybe for AI: AI-only, paid on performance.

What is Trybe (jointrybe.com)?

Trybe (jointrybe.com) is a UGC platform where brands run creator videos as paid ads and creators earn on how those ads perform. Its page title reads "Performance-based UGC for Creators & Brands", and its menu lists creators, brands and agencies (Trybe).

It is not the spa and hotel booking software called Trybe. Most results for "trybe alternative" are about that company, so this page always writes the creator platform as Trybe (jointrybe.com).

What Trybe states on its own pages:

Item What Trybe says Source
Brands it serves "DTC brands, consumer apps, and SaaS" Trybe
Creator pay "paid on ad performance plus any retainers or bonuses arranged with the brand" Trybe
Program types A Flat Fee Program and a Commission Program, set by the brand Trybe creator terms
Cost to creators "free for creators, forever" Trybe
Followers "followers don't matter on Trybe" Trybe
App "Trybe Creators", free, on iOS; Android "coming soon" App Store, Trybe
AI-made submissions Not stated on their site –

Why do AI creators look for a Trybe alternative?

AI creators look for a Trybe alternative mostly because Trybe does not say whether AI-made videos are accepted. Its creator terms require that content "is original to Creator" and do not mention AI (Trybe creator terms). The only AI on its homepage is Trybe's own tagging of submissions by angle and persona.

The other reasons are plain differences in how the platforms work, not complaints:

  • Mixed content vs AI-only. Trybe's pages describe UGC creators in general and do not separate AI-made work from filmed work. Anglr works only with AI creators.
  • Finding the work. On Trybe, brands invite you from a Discovery feed or you request to join programs from your brand feed (Trybe). Some AI creators would rather be handed a tested script and angle.
  • Pay set per brand. Trybe says "Every brand structures their program a little differently", using commission, flat fees, retainers or a mix (Trybe). Creators who want one pay model across all work look elsewhere.
  • Device. The creator app is on iOS, with Android listed as coming soon.

Trybe alternatives compared

The table compares seven platforms on what each states on its own pages, checked 12 Oct 2026. "Not stated" means the platform's pages do not say.

Platform Who it's for How creators are paid AI-made content Beginners
Trybe (jointrybe.com) UGC creators and DTC, app and SaaS brands Ad performance, plus retainers or bonuses the brand sets Not stated on their site Yes, no followers needed
SideShift UGC creators in the US, Canada, UK and Australia Paid through SideShift after each campaign, plus performance bonuses AI-generated avatars banned for creator profiles; creator must "personally perform the accepted work" Yes
Billo Creators who film UGC for brands A flat Order Fee per order, plus add-ons you price Brand page says "Every creator is a human, not an AI avatar" Yes, no experience or following needed
Insense Creators with an existing audience Your own price per campaign, negotiable Edits only with Insense's licensed AI tools; AI deliverables not stated No, follower and view minimums apply
Content Rewards Clippers and UGC creators CPM, per post or retainer, set by each campaign Not stated on their site Not stated; free to join

Anglr (this site) AI creators, editors and agencies whose ads already perform On performance, with an optional smart retainer for hitting volume AI-only No

How do the Trybe alternatives differ?

Each one differs from Trybe on one main point: who makes the video, how the price is set, or who supplies the brief. The notes below quote each platform's own pages.

SideShift

SideShift pays "through SideShift after each campaign, with funds released to your creator wallet within a few days" (SideShift). It is open to new creators: brands often want fresh niche accounts, "which levels the playing field".

For AI creators, its terms say the creator "may not use an AI-generated avatar" and "must personally perform the accepted work" (SideShift terms). It fits creators who appear on camera themselves.

Billo

Billo pays a fixed Order Fee per order, which you accept "as full compensation for your work when you apply" (Billo creator terms). Products are shipped to you at no cost, and completing 14 videos with "excellent stats" gives access to a Premium tier (Billo).

Billo tells brands that "Every creator is a human, not an AI avatar" (Billo for brands). It fits creators who film real product videos for a set fee.

Insense

On Insense, creators set an average price and then quote a campaign-specific price, and brands and creators are "encouraged to" negotiate (Insense FAQ). Campaign types include UGC, Partnership Ads, product seeding and affiliate deals (Insense).

Its creator terms let both sides adapt content "using solely AI-tools licensed by Insense for the Platform" (Insense terms). Whether you can submit AI-made deliverables is not stated.

Content Rewards

Content Rewards runs clipping, music, logo and UGC campaigns. Each campaign pays by CPM, per post or retainer, and "Each campaign sets a maximum payout per clip" (Content Rewards). Joining is free (Content Rewards creator pricing).

Its pages do not state a rule on AI-made submissions. It fits creators who post to their own accounts and want view-based pay.

Fiverr

Fiverr is the only alternative here with a named AI UGC service. It says it "now offers two types of UGC services: Human UGC and AI UGC", and asks sellers to "Be transparent about Human vs AI production and tools used" (Fiverr UGC guidelines).

AI work must be "meaningfully refined and customized", and sellers must "honor a client's explicit request for non-AI work" (Fiverr AI guidelines). You set a fixed price per gig, and Fiverr keeps a share: freelancers "receive 80% of the client's cleared payment" (Fiverr).

Anglr (this site)

Anglr is a Trybe for AI ads: it works only with AI creators, editors and agencies, and pays them on performance, with an optional smart retainer for hitting volume. Instead of a feed of brands to pitch, Anglr gives you winning scripts and angles from confirmed brand partners, and you remake them in every format with your own AI tools.

Every video gets a QC and compliance review before it goes live. Creators own the ads they make, brands get full usage rights to run them, and you can keep working with other clients and platforms. The full model for creators is on Anglr for creators, and editors have their own page.

Who each one fits

Pick the platform that matches how you work today, not the one with the longest feature list. This table says plainly when another platform is the better choice than Anglr.

If you... Better fit Why
Are new to UGC and have no portfolio yet Billo, SideShift or Trybe All three say followers or experience are not needed
Want a flat fee per video Billo, or a Flat Fee Program on Trybe Billo pays a fixed Order Fee; Trybe brands can choose flat fees
Want to sell AI UGC as a fixed-price gig Fiverr It has an AI UGC category and you set the price
Film yourself and want performance pay SideShift or Trybe SideShift adds performance bonuses; Trybe pays on ad performance
Post clips to your own accounts for view-based pay Content Rewards CPM campaigns pay per 1,000 views
Have an audience and want to negotiate per campaign Insense Creators quote and negotiate their own price
Already make full AI ads that perform and want performance pay on tested scripts Anglr (this site) AI-only, paid on performance, scripts and angles supplied
Run a team of AI editors Anglr (this site) Anglr pays the agency on performance; see Anglr for agencies

Anglr is not for beginners. If your ads have not run yet, start on a marketplace that welcomes new creators, build results, then apply.

How do you apply to each platform?

Each platform has its own steps and eligibility rules. The table lists them as each site states them; check the country and age rules first, because they rule people out before any review.

Platform How to apply Who can join
Trybe (jointrybe.com) Download the iOS app. Brands invite you from the Discovery feed, or you request to join programs from your brand feed. Once approved, you get the brief, request samples if needed and upload (Trybe) 18 or over, or 13 or over with verified parental consent (terms)
SideShift Create a free account, complete your profile, and attach your social handles and links to top-performing videos (SideShift) US, Canada, UK and Australia; 18 or over
Billo Download the Billo app, create a profile and upload a short intro video, then apply to orders (Billo) 18 or over in the US, Canada or UK; the creator terms also list Australia
Insense Download the app, tell Insense about yourself and connect Instagram or TikTok; the team reviews your profile (Insense) Listed countries only; minimum 1,000 Instagram followers and 500 median TikTok views
Content Rewards Browse Discover and join campaigns; some ask you to apply first (Content Rewards) 18 or over
Fiverr Activate a freelancer account on desktop; Fiverr reviews you at sign-up and gig creation (Fiverr) 18 or over
Anglr (this site) Apply for free on Anglr for creators. Send ads you made, plus results if you have them. Every application is reviewed by hand, and review is almost immediate AI creators, editors and agencies whose ads already perform

What should an AI creator check before joining any of them?

Check four things in writing before you make a single video: the AI rule, the pay trigger, the rights you grant and the review step. These decide whether AI work gets paid at all.

  1. The AI rule. Find the platform's own sentence on AI-made deliverables. If there is none, as on Trybe and Content Rewards, ask the brand in the brief chat before you submit.
  2. When pay is earned. On Trybe, a flat fee is earned on the brand's acceptance and a commission accrues when results occur (Trybe creator terms). Know which applies to each program.
  3. The rights you grant. Read the licence clause. Trybe creators keep ownership and grant the brand a licence (Trybe creator terms); on Anglr, creators own the ads and brands get full usage rights to run them.
  4. Labels and likeness. Fiverr asks AI UGC sellers to confirm tool licences, voice or avatar permissions and likeness approvals. Check the ad platform's AI label rules too: see AI ad labels on Meta and TikTok.
  5. Your portfolio. Every platform reviews your work. Show finished ads with a hook, a product moment and a call to action, with the product consistent from shot to shot. Those are the standards Anglr publishes at what we look for.

For a wider list of marketplaces, see the best UGC platforms for creators and the platform comparison. For a point-by-point look at the two performance-pay options, read Anglr vs Trybe, or browse every comparison on the comparisons page.

Who this is for

  • Independent AI creators and editors. You make the ads yourself. You know your work performs, so you'd rather be paid on what it does than on a flat fee.
  • AI agencies and studios. You run a team of editors. You write the brief, your team makes the versions, and you're paid on performance because you know your team's ads scale.

Not for you if

  • You only want a flat fee.
  • You're new to editing and not yet confident your ads will perform.
  • You want every shot spelled out for you.
  • You make one style and won't try others.
