Who is each platform for?

Trybe is for UGC creators of any size and for consumer brands. Its FAQ names the brands as "DTC brands, consumer apps, and SaaS — any consumer brand scaling through UGC and paid social" (Trybe).

Anglr is for independent AI creators and editors who make full ads themselves, and for AI agencies and studios that run a team of editors. It is not for people starting out. For agencies the rule is: "Your agency runs its own team. How you pay your editors is up to you: flat rate or performance." Anglr pays the agency on performance (Anglr for agencies).

How does each one pay creators?

Trybe lets each brand choose. Its FAQ says creators "get paid on ad performance plus any retainers or bonuses arranged with the brand", and that brands use "commission %, flat fees, retainers, or a mix" (Trybe).

Trybe's creator terms define two program types (Trybe creator terms):

Trybe program When pay is earned Licence the brand gets
Flat Fee Program On the brand's acceptance of your content (s.5.2.1) "perpetual and irrevocable upon full payment" (s.6.2.2(c))
Commission Program When "attributable results (e.g., sales, conversions) occur" (s.5.2.2) "conditioned on the Brand's ongoing payment of commissions" (s.6.2.2(d))

Once you are in a Commission Program, the rate "is fixed and may not be reduced or altered" (s.5.3). Payouts go to your bank through Stripe Connect with no withdrawal fee, and Trybe handles currency conversion (Trybe).

Anglr pays on performance, with an optional smart retainer for hitting volume. You are paid on each brand's payment terms, which you see before you start, straight to your bank. AI credits can be covered based on performance, agreed when you join. More on how Anglr pay works.

Does each one accept AI-made ads?

Trybe does not state a rule on AI-made submissions. Its creator terms require content that "is original to Creator" (s.4.2(a)) and do not mention AI (Trybe creator terms).

The AI on Trybe's homepage is its own tooling: "Every submission auto-tagged by angle, persona, and creative DNA" (Trybe). If you make AI ads and want to use Trybe, confirm with each brand in the in-app chat before you submit.

Anglr works only with AI creators, editors and agencies. You use your own AI tools and do your own creative strategy and editing. Every video then goes through QC and compliance review against ad platform and brand rules before it goes live.

Who owns the ads you make?

On both platforms the creator keeps ownership, and the brand gets the right to run the ads. The difference is in how the brand's rights are written.

Trybe's terms say "Creator retains all right, title, and interest in and to Creator Content" (s.6.1). After acceptance and full payment, the brand gets a "non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid, transferable, and sublicensable license" for the campaign "and related marketing (regardless of marketing channel)" (s.6.2.2(a)), covering your name, likeness and voice as they appear in the content (Trybe creator terms).

On Anglr, creators own the ads they make and brands get full usage rights to run them. The exact terms are agreed in writing before work starts.

Can you work with other brands and platforms?

Yes on Anglr, and Trybe states no general ban. Many of Anglr's most successful partners work with several clients at once.

Trybe's terms have one limit: "During an active Campaign and for twelve (12) months thereafter, Creator will not knowingly circumvent the Services" (s.4.6). In practice, a brand you first meet through Trybe should be worked with through Trybe for that period. The clause does not apply to "demonstrably pre-existing relationships" (Trybe creator terms).

How do you join, and how fast is review?

Trybe works through its creator app. Brands "invite you directly from the Discovery feed, or you request to join programs from your personalized brand feed"; once approved, you get the brief, request samples if needed and upload (Trybe). The app is free on iOS, rated 18+, with Android "coming soon" (App Store).

Trybe does not state how long program approval takes. For submissions, if a campaign sets a review period, the "Brand must accept or reject within that period" (s.4.1(e)).

Anglr's application is free. Send ads you made, plus results if you have them. Every application is reviewed by hand, review is almost immediate, and partners are vetted before they join against published standards: finished ads with a hook, product moment and call to action; a consistent product from shot to shot; no visible generation errors; claims a brand could legally make.

What do you get to work from?

On Trybe, you work from each brand's brief inside its program. The app adds brand feedback on each submission, in-app chat, real-time commission tracking with "detailed payout breakdowns" and a shareable portfolio (App Store). Brands can push approved submissions to Meta as "whitelisted / Partnership Ads" in one click (Trybe).

On Anglr, every brief includes winning angles and examples, and Anglr provides the winning scripts. Brand partners are confirmed before any brief goes out. Your job is to remake each script in every format, such as UGC, podcast, drama, animation and brand film, with small tweaks and as much volume as you can. The method is in one winning script, made in every ad format.

What does each cost a creator?

Neither charges creators to join. Trybe's FAQ says it is "free for creators, forever. All you need is a bank account to get paid" (Trybe). Its creator terms say Trybe collects its fees from brands and acts as payment facilitator (s.5.1, Trybe creator terms).

Applying to Anglr is free.

Who each one fits

Trybe is the better choice for most creators who are new, film themselves, or want a flat fee. Anglr fits a narrower group: AI creators with ads that already perform.

If you... Better fit
Are new to UGC or have a small following Trybe
Want a flat fee for each accepted video Trybe (brands that run a Flat Fee Program)
Film yourself on camera Trybe
Want to choose which brands to work with from a feed Trybe
Make full AI ads and know they perform Anglr
Want tested scripts and angles instead of pitching brands Anglr
Want to make many formats and versions from one script Anglr
Run an AI agency or studio with a team of editors Anglr

Can you use Anglr and Trybe at the same time?

Yes, from Anglr's side. Anglr creators can work with other clients and platforms, so an AI creator could keep a Trybe profile for brands that accept AI content and take Anglr briefs as well, while respecting Trybe's 12-month rule on brands met through Trybe.

Who this is for

  • Independent AI creators and editors. You make the ads yourself. You know your work performs, so you'd rather be paid on what it does than on a flat fee.
  • AI agencies and studios. You run a team of editors. You write the brief, your team makes the versions, and you're paid on performance because you know your team's ads scale.

Not for you if

  • You only want a flat fee.
  • You're new to editing and not yet confident your ads will perform.
  • You want every shot spelled out for you.
  • You make one style and won't try others.
