What does Veo 3 cost now?

Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast are deprecated and no longer on Google's pricing page. The current models are Veo 3.1, Veo 3.1 Fast and Veo 3.1 Lite, all still labelled "preview".

Google's Gemini API pricing, checked 12 Oct 2026, prices them per second of video, with audio:

Model 720p 1080p 4K
Veo 3.1 $0.40 $0.40 $0.60
Veo 3.1 Fast $0.10 $0.12 $0.30
Veo 3.1 Lite $0.05 $0.08 not supported

Veo is paid tier only; the free tier is marked "Not available". Google says you are only charged if your video is successfully generated. No without-audio or batch rates are listed.

Why do clip lengths matter for Veo pricing?

Veo clips come in fixed lengths of 4, 6 or 8 seconds, and 1080p and 4K must be 8 seconds. So at those resolutions, every clip costs 8 times the per-second rate:

Model One 8-second clip at 1080p
Veo 3.1 8 × $0.40 = $3.20
Veo 3.1 Fast 8 × $0.12 = $0.96
Veo 3.1 Lite 8 × $0.08 = $0.64

The calculator does not enforce these lengths. If you work at 1080p, set the clip length to 8.

What does one ad cost on Veo 3.1?

Take 5-second clips, 3 attempts per clip you keep, 4 clips per ad and 10 ads a month: 600 seconds generated. The calculator on this page opens on Veo 3.1 at 720p.

  • Veo 3.1, 720p: 600 × $0.40 = $240 a month, $24.00 per ad.
  • Veo 3.1 Fast, 720p: 600 × $0.10 = $60 a month, $6.00 per ad.
  • Veo 3.1 Lite, 720p: 600 × $0.05 = $30 a month, $3.00 per ad.

At 1080p, with the required 8-second clips and the same attempts, clips and ads, you generate 960 seconds. Veo 3.1 Fast then costs 960 × $0.12 = $115.20 a month, $11.52 per ad.

The model choice moves the cost by a factor of eight at 720p, so decide which shots need full Veo 3.1. One way to split it is Fast or Lite for drafts and B-roll, and full Veo 3.1 for the hero shot. These are Google's prices, not Anglr's.

What about Google AI subscriptions?

Google's consumer plans include Veo, but publish no per-video quota or credit cost. The Google AI plans page lists:

  • Google AI Plus, $4.99 a month: "video generation", without naming Veo.
  • Google AI Pro, $19.99 a month: a limited trial of Veo 3.1 Lite.
  • Google AI Ultra, from $99.99 a month: video generation with Veo 3.1 and "5x higher usage limits vs. AI Pro"; a $199.99 option gives 20 times AI Pro's limits.

Because no quota is published, the calculator cannot price these plans. Annual prices are not listed.

Is there a cheaper default model?

Google now recommends Gemini Omni Flash as its default video model. It is not a Veo model. It is billed per token, and Google's footnote puts the effective price at approximately $0.10 a second, the same as Veo 3.1 Fast at 720p. The calculator includes it using that figure.

How does Veo compare with other routes?

You can also reach Veo 3.1 through resellers that publish their own rates:

  • The Runway API lists veo3.1 at $0.40 a second with audio or $0.20 without, and veo3.1_fast at $0.15 with audio or $0.10 without. Google's own page lists no without-audio rate. See Runway pricing.
  • Higgsfield sells Veo 3.1 for about 40 credits per 4 seconds and Veo 3.1 Fast for about 16, on its monthly plans.

Compare them in the calculator's side-by-side table on the same inputs. For how to use Veo for ads, see Veo 3 for ads. For every tool in one table, see the AI video pricing index.

Anglr pays AI creators on performance to remake winning ad scripts, and AI credits can be covered based on performance; agreed when you join. See how it works for creators.
